Statement by Sauti ya Mtoto Foundation (SMF) at the Multi-stakeholders’ Preparation Day and Constructive Dialogue on Technical Assistance and International Cooperation 6/6/2024 Sauti ya Mtoto Foundation (SMF) is honored to participate in the Multi-stakeholders’ Preparation Day and Constructive Dialogue on Technical Assistance and International Cooperation, taking place today and tomorrow in Vienna, Austria.
As a non-governmental organization operating in Tanzania, SMF is dedicated to promoting the well-being and rights of children, youth, women, and marginalized communities. We recognize the critical importance of technical assistance and international cooperation in addressing the complex challenges facing our communities, including drug abuse, crime, social injustice, gender inequality, and the worst forms of child labor and trafficking.
We call upon governments, stakeholders, and the entire community to work together to strengthen international cooperation and technical assistance, particularly in developing countries like Tanzania. We urge governments to prioritize investments in evidence-based programs and services that support the most vulnerable populations, including children, youth, and women. Furthermore, we emphasize the need for inclusive and participatory approaches that engage civil society organizations, like SMF, in the design and implementation of technical assistance and international cooperation initiatives. This will ensure that the voices and concerns of marginalized communities are heard and addressed.
Thank you.
