Protecting Vulnerable Populations and Combating Human Trafficking in the Digital Age." This timely and insightful discussion brought together key stakeholders, advocates, and survivors to address the growing concerns of human trafficking and child labor, particularly in the digital space.
The event featured expert insights from Advocate Edwin Rwegambira, Executive Director of TANAHUT, along with Morris Chad, Acting Culture Officer at the U.S. Embassy Dar es Salaam, and Betty Maruve, Alumni Coordinator in Tanzania. In a deeply moving session, survivors of sex and human trafficking from Courage World International shared their experiences, shedding light on the grim realities of modern-day slavery.
